Adapting folktales to different cultures, CISB 2018
After reading some stories in English class, we paid attention to how smalls details in the stories change from country to country. Students took the Cinderella story and adapted it to their countries.

Science exhibition - Canadian International School Bangalore 2018
Students took the lead in this project. We were learning about material changes and they used scientific inquiry skills to investigate how by mixing and dissolving various combinations of liquids, and solids we can form a useful substance. We invited parents to share and celebrate success with us!
Money handling, Canadian International 2018
Students opened a market to practice money handling (change, sales, pricing, etc.). They handmade the items that were going to sell in their stores, such as french fries, cars, magnets, fruits, etc.
At the same time, in English, we were talking about Realistic Fiction. Students were challenged to draw realistic money to use in the market. Some of them printed, others spend time drawing and coloring Indian Rupees.

Sharing a Showbie experience from the Elementary School and Middle-Upper School perspective, together with Melanie Kells - Dean of Studies and IB Chemistry Teacher at Canadian International School.
Showbie as an easy to use tool for providing feedback, for collecting differentiated work, and for sharing all types of media to the class or to an individual in the class. As well as, connecting Showie to showcasing and sharing student learning by demonstrating some of the ways CIS teachers use video to document learning.
Student Council Coordinator
Chadwick International, South Korea 2016-2017
Serving as Coordinator for the Student Council (StuCo) program at Chadwick International, South Korea, gave me an opportunity to help students from grades three to five to develop stronger leadership, self-management, thinking and communication skills. As a group, we followed the Core Values of the school (fairness, honesty, respect, compassion and responsibility) and our aim was to help improve the students' lives at school. I encouraged the council members to be supportive of their peers by listening to and respecting each others' ideas and opinions. With guidance, students came up with bright ideas to build community (idea box..) and create a healthy environment within the school.
Giving the students opportunities to take risks, develop strong self-confidence and face many "uncomfortable" situations from youth will unquestionably effect how they face personal challenges in the future.

CHADWICK INTERNATIONAL SUMMER PROGRAM
As a member of the Chadwick International summer program team, I welcomed all participating children into our community. I put myself in a PE teacher's shoes and lead activities like Zumba, swimming, aqua gym and role playing. I even gave the children a chance to experience an introduction to eye-hand coordination games. Included in all of the fun was the understanding that all participants followed CI core values: Honesty, fairness respect, responsibility and compassion.
MOTOR DEVELOPMENT
In the MD program I encouraged students from pre-k to grade 2 to play using their entire body and develop motor skills. They enjoyed their time in the program, which included a focus on learning cooperation and partnership skills. Through a wide range of games, students employed skills such as balance (jumping, running, bouncing the ball) and coordination (hand-eye and foot).
I try to include active and fun experiences in my own life as much as I can so I really appreciated being a part of the students' happiness and engagement in every activity. I loved when they called me to watch what they were doing, trying things over and over again because they wanted to improve and it made them feel good.
FLAMEN CO LESSON
nternational week at Chadwick International was my best opportunity to share something with the community that represented my country, a chance to share a part of myself. That is my culture.
I felt blessed to see students from different countries and their parents getting involved in the Spanish traditional dance. Leading this experience felt like taking everyone to Spain, which in turn helped me keep a piece of my home and family in my heart.
Taking a leadership role in international week activities gave me the chance to breath in the joy and excitement: a global connection between all of us.

PAINTING MUSIC
Painting music was a new program that I offered at Chadwick International school. It gave students from kinder to grade 3 the chance to explore, develop their imagination and question the uncertain.
By playing different types of music I was able to create an environment that inspired innovative thinking and creativity. The students developed auditory skills and employed numerous languages to express themselves.
It was really interesting to see the students respond to the melodies of different music. It was as if they were listening to hidden messages in the different songs and then expressed the feelings they associated with those melodies with specific colors when painting.
